Our History

Founded in 2005, Youth Recovery Services Inc. (YRSINC) was arranged and certified as an IRS 501(c)3 NPO in January 2007.  The organization was  founded and created with the objective of improving the quality of life and increasing the potential of Florida youth. YRSINC is focused on innovative approaches to better meet the needs of our youth  and their families. We are proud of the partnerships and relationships that we have developed over the years and are committed to work closely with all stakeholders, youth, and families to continue to inspire change, growth and success.

Youth Recovery Services Inc. (YRSINC) is a dedicated youth organization committed to strengthening families by focusing on delinquency prevention and providing vital youth intervention services. Through our comprehensive approach that includes behavioral counseling, mentoring, youth development, and family support services, we aim to create a positive impact on the lives of youth and their families.​

Our mission is to empower and support the youth in our communities to build a brighter future by promoting healthy development and strengthening families. This drives us to fortify families and support youth utilizing the best available evidence, combined with clinical expertise and family values.

Mentoring + Development

YRSINC uses Mentoring as a strategy that matches young people with caring adults who can serve as role models and provide support and guidance. Mentoring can be formal or informal, and can occur in a variety of settings, including: Schools, Communities, Faith-Based Organizations, and with neighbors or coaches. Mentoring can help youth develop emotionally, socially, and cognitively, and can promote positive outcomes in their lives.​
 
Mentoring can have a powerful impact on young people, including:
•Helping them feel like they matter
•Increasing their likelihood of volunteering in their communities
•Increasing their likelihood of holding leadership positions
•Helping them feel a strong sense of belonging
•Helping them with issues related to their education
•Supporting their mental health

YRSINC facilitates programs that target youth at risk of engaging in risky behaviors or experiencing negative outcomes. These programs can help reduce the number of youth who join gangs, and prevent the onset of delinquent behavior.

Diversion Program

YRSINC's Youth Diversion Program helps young people avoid the juvenile justice system by providing community-based services instead. The goal of these programs is to help youth change their behavior and prevent future delinquency. 
 
Diversion programs can help:
• Reduce the number of youth who reoffend by diverting them away from the justice system, diversion.
• Improve public safety and keep communities safer.
• Treat youth as children by providing age-appropriate services and interventions.

Educational Support

Our After School Leadership Academy (ASLA) seeks to develop the character, socio-emotional health, and academic skills of adolescent youth through tutoring exploration, and enrichment activities while building lasting bonds.
